Since last August, the digital guest guide „Meine Vulkaneifel“ has been a great way to find out about offers in the region. Once linked, the app icon on the mobile phone screen takes you to a mobile-optimised website with lots of information and tips about our beautiful region, so you always have an action planner with you.

In addition to hiking and cycling tours, events and guided tours, it also lists places to stop for refreshments and regional shopping opportunities. The offer is rounded off with information on bike hire stations, opening times of tourist information centres and a list of accommodations in the region. The information can also be accessed via a computer at www.meine-vulkaneifel.de or at the guest terminals in Ulmen in the citizens’ office, in Lutzerath outdoor at the church, in the fountain hall in the Kulturram Bad Bertrich and in Manderscheid.

‘With (…) the digital guest guide ‘My Volcanic Eifel’, guests can do without many printed materials such as brochures, maps and flyers, as they can find all the information on their mobile phones. The app also offers great added value for locals planning their next excursion and is an indispensable companion,’ says Frank Reuter, Managing Director of Gerolsteiner Land. You can put a bookmark on your mobile phone and plan your holiday in advance, use it during your stay and then simply delete the link afterwards.

In short: We think the digital guide very practical for visitors and residents alike and use it ourselves to find information and discover new things. It’s also great that up-to-date information such as road closures or changes to events can be displayed immediately. We highly recommend it!
