Historic Core & Roman Thermal Spring

The Kurfürstliches Schlößchen is located in the middle of the spa garden. Once used by Clemens Wenzeslaus, Elector of Trier, as a hunting lodge and summer residence, it now hosts events and wedding ceremonies.  The Glauber’s salt spring, which has a natural temperature of 32°C and was already used by the Romans, springs from under the original drinking hall. The spring water is used for medicinal purposes with drinking and bathing treatments.

Wellness in the Vulkaneifel Therme

The Vulkaneifel Therme with approx. 600 sqm of water surface is fed 100 % by Germany’s only Glauber salt thermal spring. On two floors, the spa offers plenty of space for soothing relaxation and extensive bathing pleasure in the healing thermal water with varied indoor and outdoor water areas, a relaxation gallery and gastronomy. The spacious sauna area with outdoor area leads you on the trail of volcanism with volcano sauna, lava light sauna, volcanic forge, heather sauna or in the Rasul steam bath.

Hiking

The network of paths around Bad Bertrich extends over four main hiking trails and numerous secondary routes, covering approx. 70km of mountains and valleys. Wildly romantic, geologically and historically interesting, you will experience the originality of our landscape between the Volcanic Eifel and the Moselle, shaped by lava and slate.

Tenniscourt

On the three clay courts of the Falkenlay tennis sports facility (approx. 1km from our house) you have the opportunity to play a tennis match from April to October. Playing partners and court rental via the club pub of the TCBB Elfenmühle (Tel.: +49 (0) 2674/ 913 68 28) or the GesundLand Tourist Information Bad Bertrich ( +49 (0) 2674/ 93 22 22) Coaching lessons can be booked.

Boule

On Bad Bertrich’s old post office square there is a boules court where the boules club competes against each other every Wednesday.
